1. Who we are

1Tech ("we", "us") operates this website at www.1tech.co. For the purposes of UK data protection law, the data controller is 1Tech of 57 Charterhouse Street, London EC1M 6HA, United Kingdom. You can reach us about anything in this notice at info@1tech.co.

2. What we collect, and why

Contact and enquiry forms. When you send us a message we collect the details you enter — typically your name, work email, company, phone number, budget range and your message. We use this to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to prepare a proposal. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, and steps taken at your request prior to a contract.

Newsletter. If you subscribe, we collect your email address to send you our articles (roughly monthly). Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by writing to us.

Scorecard and resource downloads. Where we ask for an email in exchange for a resource, we use it to deliver the resource and to send the same newsletter, on the same consent basis, unless you tell us otherwise.

Call bookings. When you book a call through our scheduling form, we collect your name, email, chosen time, and any note you add, so we can hold the meeting. Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to a contract / legitimate interest in arranging the call.

Analytics. Only if you click "Allow" on our consent prompt, we use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation to understand which pages are useful. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set — the site works identically. Legal basis: your consent.

Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical logs (IP address, requested page, browser type) for security and operations. Legal basis: legitimate interest in running a secure service.

3. Cookies and local storage

We keep this deliberately minimal:

The booking calendar does not set third-party cookies; it runs on our own infrastructure.

4. Who processes data on our behalf

We use a small number of service providers: Cloudflare, Inc. (Workers, D1 and related edge services) to host this website, store enquiry/contact/newsletter records, and run our booking calendar; Resend (when configured) to send transactional notification and booking emails; and Google (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC, USA) for consented analytics. Where these providers are outside the UK, transfers rely on the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / standard contractual clauses, as applicable.

5. How long we keep things

Enquiry correspondence: up to 24 months after our last exchange, unless we enter into a contract (in which case records are kept as required for the engagement and by law). Newsletter emails: until you unsubscribe. Consented analytics data: up to 14 months. Server logs: per our host's standard rotation, typically weeks.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests, or withdraw consent at any time. Write to info@1tech.co and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

7. What we don't do

We don't sell personal data, we don't run advertising trackers, we don't profile you, and we don't send marketing on behalf of anyone else.

8. Changes

If we change how we handle personal data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Material changes to how we use existing data will be notified to affected subscribers by email.
